Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Complete the Clearing the Road Quest

Clearing the Road is one of the main story quests for Mulan’s Realm added with the latest update, the Lucky Dragon in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This guide will walk you through the Clearing the Road quest for Mushu in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete the Clearing the Road Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

Clearing the Road quest begins automatically after completing the Dragon Army quest for Mushu.

Follow Mushu and Mulan

As the quest begins, follow Mushu and Mulan out of the camp to see what is happening. There has been a landslide outside and the road has been demolished. Listen to the conversation between Mushu and Mulan as they discuss the landslide. After their conversation, speak with Mulan to start clearing the road.

NOTE: Speaking with Mulan will begin her quest called Protecting the Camp. It is mandatory to pursue this quest alongside Clearing the Road to fix the road to the camp and complete the Clearing the Road quest.

Return to Mushu

After speaking with Mulan, go to the camp and speak with Mushu. He will tell you to gather the Wooden Logs to create a wall beneath the mountain. However, before you do that, you need to first fix the road by pursuing the Protecting the Camp quest for Mulan.

Gather the Wooden Logs

Upon pursuing the Protecting the Camp quest Mulan, she will tell you to check in with Mushu. Go and speak to Mushu to get the objective to gather 25 Wooden Logs. You can find most of the Wooden Logs on the road and the rest of them can be found in the river. Use the Royal Fishing Rod tool to fish out the Wooden Logs from the River.

Craft the Wooden Fences and Place them Beneath the Mountain

Once you have gathered all 25 Wooden Logs, go to the Crafting Station at the camp to craft the 4x Wooden Fence. The recipe for the Wooden Fence is found in the Fence & Paving tab of the crafting station. After crafting the fence, make your way to the left side of the road to find a trail beneath the mountain.

Interact with the trail to start putting the wooden fences on it. After putting all the wooden fences, speak with Mushu and then follow him to the bridge to send out the signal. As you reach the bridge, a cutscene will play in which Mushu and Mulan will send out the signal.

NOTE: To progress further into the Clearing the Road quest, you will have to pursue the rest of the Protecting the Camp quest for Mulan. Once you have finished the Protecting the Camp quest, you will be able to continue the Clearing the Road quest.

Search for Mulan’s Key

After progressing with Mulan, go back to Mushu and speak with him to get the objective of finding Mulan’s Key. To find Mulan’s Key, head out the gate beside the cauldron to reach the road that you cleared, and then go to the end of the road to find the wagons. Look to the left side of the wagons to find Mulan’s Key.

Now, go back to Mushu to speak with him and then follow Mushu to Mulan’s Chest located beside Mulan’s Tent in the camp. Open the Storage Box to get Defender’s Sword (furniture item)

Go to Dreamlight Valley with Mushu

Now, step into the Realm Exit portal to make your way to the Dreamlight Valley and you will get to welcome Mushu. Take a picture with Mushu and then speak with him to conclude the quest.

Rewards

Completing the Clearing the Road quest will unlock Mushu as a villager in the Dreamlight Valley.
