The Dragon Army is one of the main story quests for Mulan’s Realm added with the latest update, The Lucky Dragon in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This guide will walk you through the Dragon Army quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete the Dragon Army Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
The Dragon Army quest begins automatically after completing the A New Recruit quest for Mushu. Once the quest has begun, speak with Mushu and he will tell you to gather several items around the Realm to make an army of dragons.
Gather the Materials
Go out of the camp and explore the Realm to find the following materials.
50x Camp Mud – Use the Royal Shovel to dig the Mud Puddle. Each Mud Puddle will give you 5x Camp Mud.
3x Bucket of Water – Go out of the camp through the second door and make your way to the right side to find one beside a tree next to the river, then follow the river beside the gate to find the second one, and then go towards the main gate to find the last bucket beside a tree on the left side.
10x Firewood – Pick up the wood from the ground around the Realm.
10x Red Spider Lilly – Pick up the red flowers from the ground around the Realm.
5x Chrysanthemums – Pick up the orange flowers from the ground around the Realm.
10x Dream Shards – Found in the Dreamlight Valley by feeding critters their favorite food, digging up the shiny spots on the ground, and removing the Night Thorns.
Lastly, you need to take a photo with Mushu. Go near Mushu and equip the camera to take a photo of him.
Craft Unfired Dragon Statues
Once you have gathered all of the materials around the Realm, go to the crafting station at the camp to craft 20 Unfired Statues. You can find the recipe for the Unfired Dragon Statue under the Furniture tab. Upon crafting the dragon statues, speak with Mushu.
Place the Statues and the Firewood in the Kiln
Now, head over to the Kiln and interact with it to place the Unfired Dragon Statues and Firewood inside the Kiln. Speak with Mushu and he will tell you to wait for four batches of Dragon Statues and complete Mulan’s Training.
NOTE: The four batches of Dragon Statues will take some time to be finished. In the meantime, you must complete Mulan’s Training, essentially the A Defender’s Training quest for Mulan.
How to Complete Mulan’s Training | A Defender’s Training Quest for Mulan
Completing Mulan’s Training is necessary for finishing the Dragon Army quest, so head over to Mulan and speak with her to initiate the A Defender’s Training quest.
There are three subquests related to A Defender’s Training quest that you must complete to conclude Mulan’s Training. These subquests are the following and you can complete them in any order.
Fishing for Precision
Brick-Breaking
Orienteering
How to Complete Fishing for Precision
Fish to Exercise Your Precision and Patience
Go to the river outside the camp and start fishing in the Gold Ripples to catch Salmon. You need to catch 10 Salmons in total to proceed ahead. Simply, go around the river to find the Gold Ripples and catch a Salmon from every ripple to get 10x Salmon.
Once done, go back to Mulan and she will tell you to put the fish in the Cauldron. Go to the Cauldron and interact with it to add 10 Salmons.
How to Complete Brick-Breaking
Break Bricks to Develop Your Strength
Go to the middle of the camp to find 8 Training Bricks. Equip the Royal Pickaxe and use it to break all the Training Bricks.
How to Complete Orienteering
Go Orienteering to Challenge Your Endurance
Speak to Mulan and she will take you to the Training Maze where she will give you the Training Weights that you need to equip and complete the maze. Open the wardrobe and navigate to the Requests section to equip the Training Weights.
Now, go around the Maze and pick up 8 pebbles. Some of the pebbles will be behind rubble so interact with the rubble to destroy them to pick up the pebbles behind them. Once done, walk up to the flag on the other end of the maze to meet up with Mulan to complete the orienteering.
Completing the Dragon Army Quest
Once you have completed Mulan’s Training, head back to the Kiln to see how many batches have been prepared. The four batches will most likely be completed but if you have completed the training quicker, you will have to wait until all four batches of Dragon Statues are done.
After all the Dragon Statues have been made, speak with Mushu to conclude the quest. As the quest ends, the next main quest called Clearing the Road will begin automatically.
