The Darklight Catacombs is one of the dungeons in the Realm of Shadow located over in the Scadu Altus region. Moreover, it is a mandatory catacomb that players will have to reach and complete if they wish to traverse into the Abyssal Woods which would probably be the final region that they will get to explore.

How to Reach the Darklight Catacombs in the Shadow of the Erdtree
The Darklight Catacombs are located in the southeast area of the Scadu Altus region which can only be reached by following the Recluses River. To reach the Recluses River, you will have to go to the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace which is located southeast of Shadow Keep Legacy Dungeon.
Path to Reach the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace
The Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace is reached through the Shadow Keep Legacy Dungeon. Follow the path from the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace to reach the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace.
Head through the passageway on the left side of the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace and follow along the staircases ahead to reach a large room.
Exit the room from the passageway at the back of the room and follow the path ahead to reach a ladder on the left side past the bridge.
Climb down from the ladder and go to the right to enter an archway behind the waterfall.
Climb down the ladder in the room and go to the room on the left with “Domain of Dragons” Painting.
Hit the wall on the right to reveal a hidden passageway and continue ahead on the path to reach a coffin.
Rest at the coffin to go below and then head out to the open area ahead to find the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace.
Path to Reach the Darklight Catacombs
Follow the steps mentioned below to reach the Darklight Catacombs.
Head in the south direction from the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace to reach the Recluses River Upstream Site of Grace.
Continue in the south direction along the path and then jump to the path on the right and continue ahead to reach the Recluses River Downstream Site of Grace.
From here, go along the path on the right to start descending and continue ahead to eventually drop down to lower ground.
Continue straight to find the door to Darklight Catacombs.
Open the gate and go down the elevator ahead to pick up the Darklight Catacombs Site of Grace.
How to Complete the Darklight Catacombs in the Shadow of the Erdtree
The Darklight Catacombs is a confusing dungeon as there is no boss door that you need to open by interacting with a handle hidden somewhere. Instead, you need to keep on descending through the elevators to reach the outside on the other end and then defeat a boss to get access to a new region, Abyssal Woods.
Follow the steps mentioned below to descend through the Darklight Catacombs and reach the boss fight.
Head straight from the Darklight Catacombs Site of Grace and then turn to the path on the right.
Continue ahead and go to the left.
Keep following the path to descend a staircase on the left side and then go to the path on the right.
Turn left and continue ahead to descend from a couple of ladders.
Continue ahead and go to the path on the right to reach the first elevator.
Go straight and follow along the staircase on the right to turn left and reach a room with a ladder.
Climb down the two ladders ahead and make your way ahead along the path to reach the second elevator.
Go straight and you will witness a canon shooting fireballs at you. Dodge the fireballs, follow the path behind the canon, and then turn right at the fork.
Continue on the path to reach the third elevator.
Now, continue straight to reach the outside and you will encounter a boss fight with Jori, Elder Inquisitor.
Upon reaching the boss fight, all you have to do is defeat the boss to complete the Darklight Catacombs.
