The full release of 7 Days to Die has a lot of new additions to the game including an increased number of quests, items, crafting recipes, and much more. Moreover, there are several changes as well including the Dew Collector which has been an efficient way of getting clean water in the Alpha 21 version.
In the new full-release version, Dew Collector produces Murky Water instead of clean water until you place a specific mod on it. This guide will help you how to get clean water in the latest patch of 7 Days to Die.
How to Get Clean Water in 7 Days to Die – Patch 1.0
Getting Clean Water in 7 Days to Die is one of the main survival elements as it is used for fulfilling Hydration and regenerating Stamina by 15% quicker. There are several ways through which you can get clean water in 7 Days to Die and one of the most efficient ways is to build and place down the Dew Collector.
The Dew Collector was used to collect up to 3x Water throughout the day but in the latest patch, instead of collecting the fresh water, it now collects Murky Water. Moreover, the crafting recipe for the Dew Collector has been changed and now requires the following materials.
100x Scrap Polymers
4x Short Iron Pipe
4x Duct Tape
It no longer requires the Water Filter to build it instead, you can add a Water Filter as a tool to it to make the Dew Collector produce fresh water instead of Murky Water.
Upon interacting with the Dew Collector, you will see the three inventory slots for Tools on the top right side where you can add the following items.
Gatherer: Surface cooling increases the rate of dew collection.
Tarp: Increases the amount of water collected each day. Collects 6 Water each day.
Water Filter: Filters out the murky bits leaving the water safe from illness.
All of these items are available at the Traders and you will be able to buy them with Dukes (currency).
The rest of the methods to get clean water are the same as the previous patch. You can loot the Murky Water from all kinds of sources and then use the Cooking Pot to boil the Murky Water at the Campfire to produce fresh water. Moreover, if you manage to get the Water Purifier Mod, you can put it on the helmet to drink the Murky Water without getting any illness.
