Fallout 76: How to Complete the Into Lands Unknown Quest

The Into Lands Unknown quest is one of the new main quests in Fallout 76 added with the Skyline Valley update. It is the second main quest that players will get to pursue on reaching Vault 63 located in Ash Heap. This guide will walk you through the Into Lands Unknown quest in Fallout 76.

How to Start the Quest

The Into Lands Unknown quest starts immediately after completing An Unlikely Invitation quest. An Unlikely Invitation is the very first main quest of the Skyline Valley and completing it will bring players to the entrance of Vault 63 where the Into Lands Unknown quest will begin.

Clear out the Hostiles in Vault 63

Upon entering Vault 63, you will encounter several Electrified Ghouls called The Lost. These enemies have both regular and electric attacks and also generate an electric explosion after being killed. Eliminate all of the enemies in the area, preferably from a distance to not take much damage.

Speak into the Intercom

Once you have eliminated all the ghouls, follow the marker on the screen to reach a room with an Intercom. Interact with it to speak with Hilda Stolz over the intercom. After speaking to her, your map will update and a quest marker will be highlighted in the Skyline Valley region.

Travel to the Skyline Valley Region and Speak with Craig

Leave Vault 63 and make your way to the Skyline Valley Region to reach the marked location. If you haven’t explored this new region yet, you will have to travel for some time before you reach it, otherwise, you can fast-travel to the nearest location of the marked location to reach it quickly.

Once you have reached the marked location, enter the building in the vicinity of the area to find an NPC named Craig. Speak with Craig to learn about his missing friends and he will ask you to find them.

Search for Survivors along Skyline Drive

After speaking with Craig, you need to find three survivors, place flares at their locations, and gather their personal items for Craig. Fortunately, for all of the survivors, the objective marker will help you locate their locations. Follow the objective marker to find the body of the first missing person, Miles. Examine his body and place the flare on it. Miles’ personal item is a hat and you can find it on the railing on the road below the cliff.

Continue following the objective marker to find the body of the second missing person, Rob. His body will be placed against the board at the start of the tunnel and once you have examined it and placed a flare at the location, follow the blood trail deep into the tunnel and you will find Rob’s Journal next to the SOS sign.

After getting Rob’s Journal, follow the next objective marker to the Dark Hollow Manor location where you will find a puddle of blood. Examine the blood puddle to place down the last flare. As soon as you place down the flare, more Ghouls will show up so eliminate all of them. Once you have defeated the ghouls, pick up Rebecca’s Holotags by the gate of Dark Hollow Manor.

Return the Personal Items to Craig (Optional)

After finding all three personal items of the missing persons, you can choose to bring them back to Craig for a reward of bonus Caps.

Go to Dark Hollow Manor

Upon clearing the Dark Hollow Manor area with ghouls, walk through the gate and make your way towards the manor to conclude the quest and the next quest called The Calm Before.
