Exploring the dungeon during your raids in Dark and Darker will let you come across various types of items most of which might confuse you in the beginning. One such item is the Silver Coin which looks like a currency but is more of a useful material used for crafting certain items that then can be used for crafting high-tier gear pieces and weapons.

This guide will help you how to get silver coins and provide you with information on what to do with them in Dark and Darker.

How to Get Silver Coins in Dark and Darker

Silver Coins are mostly obtained by destroying the vases and the boxes scattered around all of the maps. Furthermore, there is also a low chance of finding some inside the chests along with other jewelry pieces. If you want to focus on getting more and more Silver Coins, you will mainly have to focus on breaking the objects.

What to Do with Silver Coins in Dark and Darker

Since Silver Coins are not hard to get, the main confusion is what to do with them. Well, there are two main purposes for the Silver Coins in Dark and Darker, one is exchanging them with Gold Coins (the primary currency in the game), and the other one is crafting.

How to Exchange Silver Coins with Gold Coins

After your successful raid in the dungeon and bringing a bunch of Silver Coins with you, you will be able to exchange them for Gold Coins by heading over to Treasurer, one of the merchants. Upon browsing his wares, you will see Gold Coins in his inventory and if you select a Gold Coin, he will ask for 3 Silver Coins in exchange for 1 Gold Coin.

If you are willing to make the trade with the Silver Coins, simply hand over the Silver Coins and get a Gold Coin in return.

How to Craft with Silver Coins in Dark and Darker

The crucial purpose of Silver Coins is crafting as they can be used for crafting two main items, Silver Powder and Silver Ingot. Both of these craftable items are used for crafting various weapons of Common, Uncommon, and Rare tiers at the Weaponsmith merchant. Moreover, crafting the Silver Powder will require you to go to the Alchemist and the Silver Ingot will require you to go to the Armourer, and both of the recipes will require a certain amount of Silver Coins.

The required amount of silver for crafting both of the items is as follows.

1x Silver Powder – 45 Silver Coins

1x Silver Ingot – 60 Silver Coins

If you are looking forward to making better weapons for your build, you better save up Silver Coins rather than exchange them for Gold Coins.
