The Vulture is one of the newly added bounty missions in the June Update and it is specifically related to the new Trackers Alliance faction. However, unlike the initial bounty mission, Starjacker which can be completed by all the players, the Vulture is a paid quest. Meaning players will have to spend real money to get access to the quest and all the rewards that come with it after completing it.
This guide will walk you through how to complete the Vulture Bounty Mission in Starfield.
How to Complete the Vulture Bounty Mission in Starfield
Investigate the Missing Agents Last Known Location
Upon starting the Vulture Bounty Mission, you will be advised to check out the last known locations of the missing agents where the Vulture was last seen. The location is on the Planet Sumati in the Narion System southwest of the Cheyenne System. Use the Grav. Jump to fast travel to the Narion System and then land on the Military Outpost on the Sumati Planet.
After landing on the Sumati Planet, continue ahead towards the military outpost to find a Freestar Scout sitting beside a bench. Speak with him and the Vulture had him killed as they have been waiting for the next bait to come in for the missing agents.
Eliminate the Ambushers
Several Vulture Mercenaries will ambush you from the nearby buildings in the military outpost. You need to eliminate all of the mercenaries and the mercenary sergeant. The Mercenary Sergeant will have the Operation Orders on him that you need to loot off his body and read to progress ahead. The Operation Orders will reveal a cave on the northern side where you need to head next.
Follow the objective marker and cross a couple of mountains to reach the entrance to the cave. Once at the cave, eliminate the vulture mercenaries guarding the entrance and enter the Fortified Cave.
Search the Mercenary Cave Hideout for Information
Continue ahead in the cave and eliminate all the vulture mercenaries inside. Follow the objective marker and it will lead you to a computer. Access the computer and open the Vulture file under the Operations folder to learn the name of the bounty, Cephas Hughes. Furthermore, you can hack open the Operation Silver Baron file under the Operation Group Folder to learn Cephas Hughes’s location at the Hopetown on the Polvo Planet in the Valo System.
Now, there are two things that you can do here, either go back to Trackers Alliance HQ and speak with KoiOS to learn the whereabouts of Cephas Hughes which will also lead you to Hopetown, or you can go there directly.
Ambush Cephas at Hopetown
Once you are at Hopetown, follow the objective marker to go up on the roof of the Hope Tech building to find the corpse of a Freestar Soldier. Pick up the Folded Note that says “Behind You” and you will see Cephas Hughes with several mercenaries on the top roof. It’s time to eliminate all of the mercenaries and neutralize the Vulture once and for all.
After eliminating Cephas Hughes, go over to him and interact to speak with him. Here, you can either persuade him to stop the vulture and turn himself in without any more bloodshed or you can end his miserable life right there.
In either scenario, the Vulture mission will be concluded after the conversation with Cephas Hughes.

Completing the Vulture Bounty Mission will give the following rewards to the players.

Vulture Dustwear
Vulture Veteran Duelwear
