Number One Fan is the first episode of Night Springs expansion in Alan Wake 2. This guide will walk you through the Number One Fan episode in Alan Wake 2.
Episode 1: Number One Fan – Walkthrough
The first episode of Night Springs expansion will put you in the shoes of Rose Marigold, the favorite waitress of the Diner in Bright Falls. Once you get the control of Rose, walk through the hallway to the Diner and make your way to the Counter.
Attend to Your Customers
As you walk up to the counter, the customers will ask for Coffee Refills. Interact with the Coffee Pot to pick it up and go over to the customers to refill the coffee. After giving coffee refills, put back the Coffee Pot and you will get the objective to collect the dirty dishes. Head over to the tables with empty plates and interact with them to pick up the plates.
Once you have collected all the dirty dishes, bring them to the service window to place them down. A man will ask for your assistance so go ahead and speak with him. He will ask for any good book recommendations. Go to the hallway and enter the storage, the first room on the right side. There will be four novels in the Storage from which you can select anyone.
As soon as you select a novel, a rescue call from Rose’s favorite Writer will come.
Rescue Your Writer
Leave the storage room and go to the end of the hallway to open the door in front. Head inside the half-opened door to enter a room full of firearms. Pick up the Shotgun from the wall and the Rifle from the stand. After getting all of the accessories, leave the Diner and head towards the right side to reach the Boatyard. As you reach the end of the road, interact with the door to initiate a brief cutscene.
Continue straight ahead to meet with a familiar face who happens to be the twin brother of the famous writer. After the conversation with the writer’s brother, a fight sequence with the monsters will begin. Eliminate all of the monsters in the area and follow the Bad Boy’s Trail from the broken fence. Keep on heading along the path and upon reaching the bridge by a shack, you will encounter more monsters.
Kill the monsters and keep on following the trail to find the motorcycle parked near a cabin. Head up to the cabin and enter inside to start searching the cabin. However, Bad Boy’s tricks aren’t over and he will tell you to come to the beach. Leave the cabin from the back door and follow the path to reach the beach where you will find Bad Boy.
Speak with the twin brother of the writer and after the conversation, eliminate the monsters on the beach and start following the bike trail again. Upon reaching a staircase, a brief cutscene will play, and after the cutscene, continue following the trail to reach the writer’s mansion. Once at the mansion, speak with Bad Boy again outside the mansion and you will get to fight him.
Defeat Bad Boy
Bad Boy has mainly three main attacks two of which include shooting hearts at you. You need to avoid the Heart projectiles by shooting at the hearts to destroy them and the heart wave by dodging to the side. Moreover, you need to keep the aggression on Bad Boy by shooting at him. Upon doing enough damage, he will turn into a wolf. Shoot the wolf to deal damage to him and once he turned back to the original form, repeat the process to defeat him.
Continue Rescuing Your Writer
After defeating Bad Boy, speak with him and head towards the Mansion to engage in another fight sequence with the monsters. Clear your way to the top floor of the mansion, and head inside the room on the left side with a symbol on the door. It will initiate a cutscene which will conclude the Number One Fan episode of Night Springs.
