Beginning the adventure of Destiny 2’s final expansion, The Final Shape will put players in the shoes of a new class and introduce them to the starting mission, Transmigration. The initial mission puts you on a sort of linear path, but there are several points where it can be confusing to find a way ahead.
This guide will walk you through the Transmigration quest in Destiny 2.
How to Complete Transmigration Quest in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Upon beginning a new adventure, the Transmigration quest will be initiated automatically putting you in a strange place called The Threshold within The Pale Heart. The Threshold place seems to like have stopped in time and space so simply, make your way ahead along the path and reach the objective marker.
Activate the Well
Upon reaching the first objective marker, you will see a well in the middle which will become a dark orb. You need to activate it by bringing an Icon of Light. While you are in this area, several enemies will spawn and you will see an enemy with a marker on it. Defeat that enemy to acclaim the Icon of Light and then bring it back to the Orb to activate it. Doing so will reveal the path for you to venture ahead.
Cross the Platforms
Jump across the revealed platforms ahead to reach a blocked path with three dark orbs in the air. Shoot the orbs to open the path and then make your way ahead through the building. As you go ahead, more enemies will spawn so take care of them and continue ahead along the path and the platforms in the sky to reach another blocked path.
For the second blocked path, the orbs will be scattered near the blockage so look around to find all of them. After shooting the orbs and unlocking the path ahead, continue following the objective markers to reach another dark well.
Similar to the previous Well sequence, follow the objective marker of an enemy that possesses the Icon of Light and eliminate them. Grab the Icon of Light to go back to the orb to activate it and reveal the path ahead. However, as you come back, the well will get blocked so break the flying dark orbs around it to place the Icon of Light.
Evade the Witness’s Forces
Continue ahead on the path while defeating the enemies spawning ahead and you will run into several Bound enemies ahead. These enemies cannot be defeated at this point so, you have to follow the main quest and evade from the area to continue ahead. Simply, follow along the objective markers on your screen to eventually make your way to the Lost City of Pale Heart.
The Lost City, Outskirts
Once you are in the Outskirts of Lost City, continue ahead on the path to finally see The Pale Heart. Keep on going ahead until you make your way through an old city architecture and encounter Grims. Take down the flying enemies and jump ahead on the platforms to continue ahead. Soon you will reach a blocked path that you need to unlock by destroying the dark orbs and bringing an Icon of Light to the dark well.
Once you have unlocked the door, continue ahead to find a Wellspring. Stand on it to charge the Transcend Bar underneath the Super. After that, press the respective button on the screen to activate the Transcend ability which will allow you to break the shields of the Bound enemies and defeat them easily.
The Transcendence will deplete over time so you will have to stand on the Wellspring quite a few times to defeat all of the enemies in the area.
The Lost City
Upon defeating all of the enemies, continue ahead to reach The Lost City. Here, you will have to clear two obstacles to unlock the door ahead. Follow the objective marker to reach the enemy and stand on the Wellspring in the room to charge the Transcendence to take out the enemy. It will give you the Icon of Darkness that will help you to clear one obstacle.
Now, follow the other objective marker to reach the next enemy that possesses the Icon of Darkness. Make sure to charge the Transcendence ability by standing at the Wellspring near the enemy to eliminate them easily. After getting the second Icon of Darkness, bring it back to the blocked gate to open it.
Continue ahead and make your way up to find the Light and Dark wellspring in the Old Vanguard Command Center. Approach the Wellspring and you will unlock the Prismatic Subclass.
Find the Vanguard Transponder
Upon unlocking the Prismatic Subclass, a path will open ahead that you need to follow to reach the outside to find the Vanguard Transponder. However, you will be ambushed by the enemies. Defeat all of the enemies and the fight will upscale to the first main boss Vrihn, Subjugator of Gardens.
Defeat Virhn, Subjugator of Gardens
Virhn, Subjugator of Gardens is not a difficult boss as it possesses a shield on its body similar to other Bound enemies. You need to use the Transcendence ability to break its shield to deal damage to it over time. However, you will have to charge the ability at the Wellspring before using it.
Upon defeating Virhn, a couple of chests will drop on the ground. Loot the chests to initiate a cutscene which will conclude the Transmigration quest.
