Soulmask: How to Reveal the Map – Remove Fog of War

Soulmask has various interesting and unique mechanics that are essential to learning as they might help increase your survival rate. One of the unique mechanics of Soulmask is the Fog of War, a fog covering the areas of the map preventing players from seeing the map and all of the essential locations within the fog.

Now, there are other survival games where you can reveal the map easily by finding a certain point of interest. However, it is a bit different and difficult to achieve in Soulmask.

This guide will help you how to reveal the map in Soulmask.

How to Reveal the Map in Soulmask

Revealing the map in Soulmask requires players to find an enemy entitled Scout and then use the Information ability by getting close to them. Doing so will remove the fog of war on the map from the area where you are currently and reveal all of the important points of interest in that area.

Where to find the Scouts in Soulmask

The first step to revealing more of your map is to find a scout enemy. To find a Scout enemy, you need to look for the Barbarian Camps on the map. These campsites have the highest chance of having a Scout enemy. Use the map to find a Barbarian Camp and then make your way to the camp.

TIP: Before entering the camp and raising suspicion, place down a campfire near the campsite.

Once you are at the camp, use the Life Perception skill by pressing the Q to scan the area and highlight the enemies to find the scout easily.

How to Get Information from the Scout in Soulmask

Now, the most difficult part is to get information from the Scout to reveal the map. To get the information from the Scout, you must first take out other enemies at the camp, i.e. dogs, barbarians, etc. When only the scout enemy is remaining, you need to attack them until they are low on HP. Make sure that you don’t kill them and only deplete their HP to the point where they are close to dying.

Once they are low on HP, go near them and you will get the option to “Get Information.” Press the E button to draw all the information out of them. After that, you can kill the scout enemy.

Upon drawing the information out of the Scout enemy, a certain part of the world map will be revealed and it takes the same set of steps to reveal all of the map.
