The world in Soulmask is filled with all sorts of essential materials that are required for the crafting of various items and structures for survival. Some of the materials are organic and can be obtained simply from the ground or killing wildlife but some of the materials require certain tools. One of the essential materials that can be obtained by a certain tool is clay which is used in the crafting of various tools and weapons.
This guide will help you how to get clay in Soulmask.
How to Get Clay in Soulmask
Clay is a mineral that is obtained by mining the clay nodes (muddy rocks) found near lakes and ponds. Open the map to find the water areas and as you get there, look for the muddy rocks. Players can get the clay by using a Stone Pickaxe or a higher-grade Pickaxe on the clay nodes.
Additionally, clay can also be found inside the chests located in the Ruins. There are several Ruins locations marked on the map where players can go to find the chests and possibly find a few Clay. However, be aware of the Tribesmen at the Mysterious Ruins locations as you will have to defeat them before you get to loot the chests.
The Stone Pickaxe is among the earliest grade of tools that players can get in Soulmask. Unlocking the Stone Pickaxe will require players to learn its blueprint which can be found under the Primitive Tools. It requires Awareness Strength 1 which is the starting level in the game to unlock the recipe and it can be crafted with the following materials.
1x Branch
3x Stone
Both of these materials can be picked up from the ground at the starting area of the game and once you have the materials, craft the Stone Pickaxe. After getting the Stone Pickaxe, equip it and go over to the clay node to mine it by using the pickaxe to get clay.
However, keep your eye on the durability of the pickaxe as it will degrade slowly as you use it. Make sure to repair it before it breaks otherwise, you will have to craft it again.
