Soulmask: Which Mask Should You Start With – All Starting Masks

Beginning your new adventure in Soulmask will let you choose a mask from three available masks. Each mask holds a potent knowledge of abilities that will help you shape your playthrough until you find more masks later in the game as you progress.

This guide will provide you with information on each starting mask in Soulmask to help you make a better decision.

All Starting Masks in Soulmask

The three starting masks in Soulmask from which you will get to choose one for your journey are Civilization, Conquest, and Rich. Each mask offers seven different abilities incorporating a certain playstyle for you to pursue.

Civilization Mask

The Civilization Mask is all about tanking the incoming damage. It is the perfect mask for the players who to start as a tank class in Soulmask and stand their ground during combat. Various granted abilities provide a certain damage negation on different body parts along with the advantages of Max Stamina, Max Load, and Defense.

All the abilities provided by the Civilization Mask are the following.

Common Overclock: The mask upgrade speed is increased by 50%.

Stamina Surge: The Max Stamina is increased by +5, and the Max Load by +10.

Deep Sleep: Morale Recovery Speed is increased by +50% while sleeping.

Critical Barrier: Negates the incoming DMG to the head by -10%.

Outer Armor: Negates the incoming DMG to the body by -5%.

Sequence Protection: The DEF stat is increased by +10.

Healer Mode (Mimicry): Restores 5 HP every second when the ability is activated.

Conquest Mask

The Conquest Mask is sticking to the shadows allowing you to stay stealthy. If you wish to begin your journey as an assassin who likes to keep the heat to a minimum, then it is the perfect mask for you. The abilities that are granted with this mask offer advantages like increased concealment, reduced fall damage, less noise, and increased damage from behind.

All the abilities provided by the Conquest Mask are the following.

Common Overclock: The mask upgrade speed is increased by 50%.

Falling Buffer: Fall DMG reduced by 10%.

Noise Absorption: Noise is reduced by 10%.

Forbidden Territory: Awareness EXP gain increased by +5% from killing humanoid creatures.

Light Disturbance: Concealment stat is increased by +10%.

Hidden Assault: Increase DMG dealt from behind by +10%.

Slayer Mode (Mimicry): Each attack grants a 1.5% Lifesteal effect which allows you to heal in Mimicry mode. It also has a chance of reducing the target’s Resilience by 20%.

Rich Mask

The Rich Mask is focused on ranged attacks allowing you to become a deadly hunter who likes to hunt the prey from a distance. If you prefer Ranged Weapons for your playthrough, then this mask will be perfect for you as it will increase the accuracy for all the ranged weapons in your arsenal allowing you to deal significantly more damage than regular hunters.

All the abilities provided by the Rich Mask are the following.

Common Overclock: The mask upgrade speed is increased by 50%.

Data Analysis: Optimizes the accuracy of Life Perception’s information processing ability, enabling real-time perception of the distance from the target.

Projectile Adjustment: The Arrow precision is increased by +10%.

Hunting Guide: Awareness EXP is increased by +5% from killing non-humanoids.

Poison Injection: DMG against the creatures is increased by +30%.

Deeply Focused : Consume -5% less stamina.

Sniping Mode (Mimicry): DMG dealt by bows is increased by +15% in Mimicry mode. Attacking the Weak Spot deal Crit DMG of +5% while Mimicry is activated.

All three of the starting masks focus on a unique playstyle and it is completely dependent on which playstyle you wish to pursue. However, we will recommend you to go with the Civilization Mask for a much safer early adventure.
