The Funeral Potatoes is a Friendship Level 5 quest for Hekla added newly in Palia in the latest patch. Players will get to unlock this quest upon reaching Friendship Level 5 with Hekla and completing the For the Record quest.

How to Complete the Funeral Potatoes Quest in Palia
Starting the quest
Reaching Friendship Level 5 with Hekla will bring Jina to your Housing Plot area. Go to the Housing Plot to speak with Jina who will tell you about Hekla’s recent behavior. Upon speaking with Jina, the Funeral Potatoes quest for Hekla will begin. Wait for a few moments and Hekla will come to the Housing Plot.
Speak with her to ask about her recent behavior and she will tell you that she is worried that her best friend, Jina will die one day. After speaking with Hekla, open the map to find Jina and then go over to her to tell her about the situation.
Search the Ancient Library for Information
Once you have consulted Hekla’s situation with Jina, head over to the Ancient Library located northwest of Kilima Valley. Enter inside the Ancient Library and continue straight ahead in the hallway. As you reach the end of the hallway, go to the left side and just before the door on the left, you will find a tablet on the ledge. Read the tablet to get some information on the funerals of Ancient Humans.
After your findings, head back to Jina to share the information. Upon speaking with Jina, tell and invite Hekla to Sona’s funeral.
Bring the Following Items to Jina in the Temple of the Flames
Once you have invited Hekla to Sona’s funeral, you will be tasked to get the following items and bring them to Jina in the Temple of the Flames.
1x Fabric
5x Silk
2x Silver Ore
Fabric and Silk are crafted at the Fabric Loom station, and the Silver Ores can be mined from the Copper Nodes in Kilima Valley. After getting all the required items, head over to Bahari Bay and make your way to the Temple of the Flames. Navigate through the temple and enter the Mysterious Chamber to go to the mural stand at the end of the temple.
Go over the invisible bridge to reach the mural stand and speak with Jina to hand over the items. Lastly, speak with Hekla to conclude the quest.
Rewards
Completing the Funeral Potatoes quest will give the following rewards.
1x Ancient Human Airship
3x Loaded Potato Soup
35 Renown
