Getting yourself the best weapons in V Rising is never been easier since now, as in the previous patches, players will have to leave the older weapons once they reach the higher tier area. Well, it is not the case with the patch 1.0 as players can stick to their Rare and Epic weapons until the very end of the game. All they have to do is find the right weapon for their build and upgrade it at the ancestral forge for a higher Gear Level.

This guide will help you how to upgrade Ancestral Weapons in V Rising.

How to Upgrade Ancestral Weapons in V Rising

There are three different types of Ancestral Weapons in V Rising – Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Legendary are the hardest to come by and they all have a Gear Level of 30 when you reforged them at the Ancestral Forge.

NOTE: Legendary weapons cannot be upgraded at Ancestral Forge.

Similar to Legendary, Epic Ancestral Weapons are also hard to come by from the Tier 2 Rift Incursion World Event but you can also buy them from the new Vampire Merchants with Greater Stygian Shards. Reforging the Epic Ancestral Weapons also have a Gear Level of 30 but they all come with a random elemental effect and attributes.

Coming to the Rare Ancestral Weapons, are the ones that can be upgraded at the Ancestral Forge even after reforging them. The reforging of Rare Ancestral Weapons will cost a Merciless Weapon of the same type along with 8x Radium Alloy and 1x Greater Blood Essence. After reforging the Rare Ancestral Weapon, it will have a Gear Level 20 and you can further upgrade it two times to Gear Level 23 and Gear Level 26.

Upgrading the Rare Ancestral Weapons to a Gear Level 23 will cost a Dark Silver Weapon of the same type, and upgrading it to a Gear Level 26 will cost a Sanguine Weapon of the same type.

Keep in mind that, unlike the normal Sanguine weapons, the Ancestral Weapons come with a random elemental effect and attributes so, having a Rare Ancestral Weapon of Gear Level 26 is better than a regular Sanguine weapon.
