The world map of Valheim is pretty big which offers various biomes for players to visit both for the main story and getting certain resources that are exclusive to a biome. Navigating all of the biomes and their regions is a time-consuming process but it can be eased down by using the portal. However, the regular Portal–Wood, only allows you to transport certain items with you excluding any type of metal.
Fortunately, with the latest update of Valheim, a new portal type has been added to the game and it allows everything for players to teleport from one place to the other. This new portal is a Stone Portal and players can place it anywhere like the normal portal and transport items from one portal to the other, even the metals.
This guide will help you how to craft the Stone Portal in Valheim.
How to Craft the Stone Portal in Valheim
The Stone Portal is one of the essential items in Valheim but getting it is not easy as some of the items that are required to craft it are end-game. An essential end-game item is a Molten Core found in the Charred Fortress and Putrid Holes. Both of these locations are found in the new biome, Ashlands.
The Charred Fortress is more difficult to invade as you will need a Battering Ram or a Catapult to break the front gate of the fortress. Not only that, but you have to deal with all sorts of Charred enemies along with Fallen Valkyrie. Apart from the Molten Core, the other two resources that you need are Greydwarf Eye and Grausten.
Greydwarf Eyes can be obtained by defeating Greydwarfs in the Black Forests region. The Grausten is also an exclusive resource found only in the Ashlands. Once you have obtained one resource of each required material, you will unlock the recipe for Stone Portal in the Stonecutter station and it will require the following number of required resources.
10x Greydwarf Eye
30x Grausten
2x Molten Core
Place down the Stonecutter station to craft the Stone Portal and place it down anywhere. As you go near it, it will activate and allow you to teleport to the other connected/available portal along with all items in your inventory.
