A recent report by the Wall Street Journal reveals that Microsoft intends to add the next installment of Call of Duty to its subscription service (Xbox Game Pass) and it will most likely announce the plans on its Xbox Showcase Event which happens to be taking place next month on June 9, 2024.
Although, there hasn’t been any official news regarding the next installment of Call of Duty, but journalists and players have been positive that the upcoming game will be Call of Duty Black Ops 6 due to the recent discovery of Sally Pistols in Warzone.
Moreover, the WSJ report stated, “Microsoft plans a major shakeup of its video game sales strategy by releasing the coming installment of Call of Duty to its subscription service instead of the longtime, lucrative approach of only selling it a la carte.”
If Microsoft does bring the next main title of Call of Duty to Xbox Game Pass, it will surely increase its sales of the subscription service as it can cost a minimum of $11 to get access to the game on the day of release. On the other hand, the same title will go for $70 dollars on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
