Alone in the Dark is a story-mode detective video game in which players will get to solve the mystery of missing Jeremy throughout the progression of chapters. Both of the protagonists, Emily and Edward will have a pistol at their disposal which they will be able to use to fight the ghouls. However, the Derceto Manor also holds the Shotgun inside which players will be able to pick up which will make fights against the monsters much easier.

Where is the Shotgun Located in Alone in the Dark
The Shotgun is located inside the parlor which can be reached through the Library door. Players will have to first complete the first chapter to get Batiste’s Keys which will hold a key for the Library. During Chapter 2 of the game, players will be able to use Batiste’s Keys to unlock the Library and reach the parlor to get the Shotgun.
How to Get the Shotgun in Alone in the Dark
There are two different time stamps through which players will be able to get the Shotgun. The first one is when players are trying to find the Broken Plate in the Kitchen Garden for the Astronomical Clock puzzle. As getting the broken plate will require the Bolt Cutters, players will have to unlock the Library to get inside the parlor to get the Bolt Cutters. At the same time, they will also be able to pick up the Shotgun from the weapon case on the wall.
Alternatively, players will be able to get the Shotgun after they have returned from the Oil Rig memory in Chapter 2. Returning from Oil Rig will place characters directly in the parlor room from where they will be able to pick up the Shotgun from the weapon case on the wall.
