Water is one of the essential; resources in Lightyear Frontier not for your character but for your gardening and farming endeavors. Without the water, your planted crops will not grow as they need water on a daily basis except the rainy days.

How to Get Water in Lightyear Frontier
Water can be obtained from the ponds and rivers around the several regions of the Alien Planet. To get the water from the ponds or rivers, you will have to use the Vacuum Harvester, one of your Mech’s Tools. Equip the Vacuum Harvester from the Tool Wheel by pressing the Q button and then press the LMB while looking at the water to harvest and store the water.
To use the stored water, you will have to use the Irrigation Hose tool. Press the LMB to shoot water which will allow you to water your planted crops or wash away Noxious Slime.
You will have the ability to store only 50 Water at the start of the game but you will be able to store more once you upgrade the Water Tank Capacity using the Upgrade Depot.
