CAPCOM’s next biggest title, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is just a couple of weeks away from launching and providing players with an immersive narrative experience in a fantasy world where players will get to rise as Arisen and be joined by Pawns throughout the adventure. As the new sequel is looking and sounding wonderful, CAPCOM has just released a free Character Creator & Storage feature of Dragon’s Dogma 2 for free on all platforms.
This new free app will allow players to create and customize their main character/Arisen along with their companion/Pawn and save them. It will allow players to save up to 5 Arisen characters and 5 Pawn characters respectively which they will be able to bring to the main game once it is launched.
In this guide, we’ll be telling you all about the character creation in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Character Creation
Initializing the character creation for either your main character or main pawn, you need to head into the “Character Creator” option which can be executed from the main menu. Once in, you will get to select the character you wish to create, either Arisen or Main Pawn. Both of these characters can be created up to five times and saved in different save slots so, by selecting a character type, you will get to select a save slot in which you wish to allocate the character you are about to create.
Select a Race/Body Type
Once you are through the initial step of the character creator, you will be presented with several Presets including two different races, Humans and Beastren. The Elves race is not included in this app so it might be in the full version of the game. Select a Race, Humans or Beastren, and then select the Body Type, Male or Female. Once done, you will get to select a Base Body for the Race/Body Type from several options.
Create the Base Head
After selecting the Base Body for your selected Race/Body Type, you will be taken to the Base Head menu where you will get to select a Base Head for your character. The Base Head will include hairstyle, head height, neck height, and many more aspects, so browse through the options to select one you see fit. Upon selecting one, the system will further narrow down the options for refinement related to the selected base head option.
Once done, the system will ask you to confirm the selected Base Head and move on to the main character customization. Accept the confirmation to proceed ahead.
Detailed Customization Menu
Once you are brought to the Detailed Customization menu, you will see five different categories on the top-left side which include, Body, Head, Body Hair, Makeup, Tattoos/Markings. Underneath each category, you will see sub-categories of the respective category and then each sub-category will provide you with its respective customization options that are altered using the sliders. At the end of each sub-category, you will also find the reset option for that respective category which you can select to reset the changes and give another look to your character using the customization options.
Now, there are hundreds of customization options in total for all of the sub-categories combined so I will be only highlighting the main sub-category from each category to give you an overview of in what depth you will be creating your character in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
