The Old Friends is one of the new Found Item quests in Palia added with patch 0.177 that players will get to start upon finding the ‘A Note to Chayne’ item. Players can find the note to Chayne on the vanity inside Chayne’s Room and the quest will require them to help Chayne welcome his friend who is coming to visit him.

How to Complete the Old Friends Quest in Palia
Start the quest by getting the Note to Chayne found in Chayne’s Room and you will get the objective to ask about his friend. Open the map to find Chayne, and then go and speak with Chayne to find out what he has in mind to gift his friend on arrival. Chayne will give you a list of bugs that he would like you to find and bring them to him.
Spotted Mantis: Found at any time near the Dragon Shrine in Maji’s Hollow in Kilima Valley.
Stripeshell Snail: Found during the evening/night (6:00 PM – 3:00 AM) along the coastline in Bahari Bay. You can explore the Coral Shores, Lighthouse Lagoon, Beachcomber Cave, and the Flooded Fortress areas to find one.
Spineshell Crab: Found at any time along the coastline in Bahari Bay. Same areas as the Stripeshell Snail.
Hairy Millipede: Found at any time in the fields and the forests located in the northern areas of Bahari Bay. You can explore the Flooded Steps, Proudhorn Pass, the Thorny Thicket, the Statue Garden, and The Outskirts areas to find one.
Lunar Fairy Moth: Found during the evening/night (6:00 PM – 3:00 AM) in the fields and the forests located in the northern areas of Bahari Bay. Same areas as the Hairy Millipede.
Upon gathering all the requested bugs, return to Chayne to hand them over to him. Once you have spoken to Chayne, you will get the objective to gather five pieces of advice from different villagers. Speak to the following villagers to get a piece of advice from each one.
Ashura
Auni
Delaila
Kenli
Kenyatta
After gathering all the pieces of advice, go back to Chayne and tell him about the advice you received to conclude the quest.

Completing the Old Friends quest will give the following rewards to the players.
