Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Complete Monstrously Good Taste Quest

The Monstrously Good Taste is the second Friendship Quest for Mike Wazowski that players will get to unlock once they have completed the Germs Abound quest and reached Friendship Level 4 with Mike.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete the Monstrously Good Taste quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete the Monstrously Good Taste in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Upon reaching Friendship Level 4 with Mike, speak with Mike and select the quest option to start the quest. He will tell you that he would like to bring a Monstrous Cologne to the valley which will include a Rotting Fish.

Get the Special Fish from Remy

After speaking with Mike, open the map to find Remy and then go and speak with him to get a Spoiled Carp. Now, make your way to the Dazzle Beach biome and plant the Spoiled Carp fish anywhere in the biome. Use the Royal Shovel to dig a hole and then interact with it to plant the fish.

Once you have planted the Spoiled Carp, you need to wait 15 minutes (real-life time) to let the scent of the fish become more mature. After waiting for 15 minutes, go back to the planted location of the fish and harvest it. Bring the Rotten Carp to Mike and he will give it back to you to make a Monstrous Cologne.

Make the Monstrous Cologne

To make the Monstrous Cologne, you need to first get the following materials.

1x Rotten Carp: Quest Item.

5x Empty Vial: Obtained by crafting at the Crafting Station using Glass.

7x Rich Soil: Obtained by harvesting the crops and digging the ground.

Once you have gathered all the materials, interact with the Crafting Station to craft the Monstrous Cologne. The recipe for the Monstrous Cologne can be found under the ‘Functional Items’ tab.

Now, show the first sample of the Monstrous Cologne to Scrooge McDuck by speaking with him. Once you have done talking to Scrooge, show it to Scar and Venelope. Open the map to find the villagers and then go and speak to them one by one. After showing them the Monstrous Cologne, report back to Mike what the other villagers think about it.

Gather the Ingredients for Mike’s Recipe

As you report back to Mike, he will tell you about the ‘tasty’ monstrous recipe that he has in mind but first, you need to gather the following ingredients.

The Royal Hairball: Found in Scar’s Cave.

Wheat: Can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome.

Milk: Purchased from Chez Remy restaurant for 230 Star Coins.

Clams: Found on the Dazzle Beach biome.

Cook the ‘Tasty’ Monstrous Recipe

Once you have gathered all the ingredients for the recipe, go to any Cooking Station and interact with it to make the Gourmet Rot Dog. You can find its recipe under the Quests section of the cooking menu. Select the recipe, autofill the ingredients, and then select the ‘Start Cooking’ option to cook the recipe.

After cooking the Gourmet Rot Dog, bring it to Remy and he will tell you to give it back to Mike. So, bring it to Mike and then follow and listen to Mike as he shares the Gourmet Rot Dog with Sulley. As soon as Mike and Sulley stop talking, the quest will conclude.
