There are several rare resources and items in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden which will be required for upgrading the equipment. One of the required materials for upgrading the equipment is Elite Gem which isn’t obtained from the natural world like the rest of the resources in the game.

How to Get Elite Gem in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
Elite Gem can be obtained by defeating the Elites or purchased from the Witch. The Elites are the stronger Spectral Enemies that can only be summoned by performing the ‘Make-Manifest’ ritual at the Stalagmites. The Elites Stalagmites are different than the Nests Stalagmites and performing a ritual at it spawns respective enemy types. Performing a ritual will require specific resources according to the area where you found the Stalagmites and once you have summoned the elite enemy, defeat it to get 1x Elite Gem.
For the second method, you can purchase it from the Witch. However, the witch can only be found on Siridean’s Island which is unlocked during the ‘The Swamp Witch’ main quest. Once you have made a certain progress in the game, you will be able to meet the Witch and browse her wares to purchase the Elite Gem for 1,000 Witch Stones.
The Witch Stones is the secondary currency in the game and can only be obtained by looting the chests with a blue shiny aura around it. These chests are well hidden around the world of New England and grant 100 – 200 Witch Stones per chest which is not that great so, it is better to save this currency for better gear items that the Witch offers.
