Like most open-world survival crafting video games, Inflexion Games also allows players to create their own character and customize it at the beginning of their game, Nightingale. It is an open-world survival game set in a rich Victorian fantasy world that players will get to explore either Solo or with friends. Before landing in this fantasy world, all players must create their character with the in-depth character creator system that Nightingale provides.

In this guide, we’ll tell you all about the character creation and customization in Nightingale.

Character Creation & Customization in Nightingale

Upon starting the game and initiating a New Profile, players will be introduced to the Character Creator system of Nightingale through which players will be able to create the foundation of the character. Onwards, the system will allow players to customize the character and finally, players will be able to select the difficulty and the name for the character to begin the exciting adventure.

The complete Character Creator system is divided into three main steps explained below.

Step 1 – Create the Foundation of the Character

The first step requires players to choose the body type (Male/Female) and the default appearance from the pre-made Archetypes (Presets). From there, players will be able to set a certain story for their character and make a family tree from Great-Grandparents through which they will be able to inherit their character. For more simplification, all of the steps included in the first step are mentioned below.

Archetype: Select either Body A (Male) or Body B (Female) and then browse through the presets to select the character. There are 78 Archetypes in total, 39 for Male and 39 for Female, and you will have the freedom to choose anyone you wish.

Age: Set an age for your character. Can be set within the 16 to 70 age gap.

Voice: Set a voice tone for your character.

Ancestry (Story): Select a background story for your character. There aren’t any environmental or combat benefits that you will get by selecting a background story. This option is only there for your character to have an interesting background.

Lineage: It is a unique addition to character creation systems in the game which allows you to shape your character according to the family tree that you select from your Great-Grandparents.

Inheritance: Select your character looks based on your selected ancestors.

Step 2 – Customize Your Character

The second step requires players to customize the appearance and skin tone of their character along with many facial customization options. Upon customizing the character and giving them the final look, players will not be able to customize the character again in the adventure so, feel free to spend an extensive time on the customization. All the available character customization options in Nightingale are the following.

Hairstyle

Facial Hair

Eyebrows

Head

Nose

Jawline

Eye Colour

Step 3 – Select the Difficulty and Finalize Your Character

Once you have customized your character to your liking, you will move on to the final step in which you will get to select the difficulty and finalize the character by naming it.

Difficulty (Equip): The Equip option allows you to select your starting equipment for your character. The higher the difficulty you choose, the lower the equipment you will start with.

Difficulty (Realm): Select the Realm difficulty for your journey. The higher the Realm difficulty, the tougher the challenges you will face in each Realm throughout the journey.

Finalize: Lastly, name your character to begin the journey.

Worry not if you have selected higher difficulty for your equipment or realm experience as you can change the difficult freely from the options menu of the game.
