Venturing into the vast sea to become the most ferocious pirates will require the players to conquer various waters. However, every successful and fearful pirate started somewhere at a mediocre line and it is no different in Skull and Bones. Before players get to become the ruler of the seas, they will have to acquire all essential weapons, equipment, and tools along with raw materials.
One of the essential raw materials that is required for one of the early contracts in the game is Acacia. Acacia is a wood type found in certain regions and the contract named ‘Tools of the Trade’ will require you to gather a certain amount of Acacia.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get Acacia in Skull and Bones.
How to Get Acacia in Skull and Bones
The Acacia is obtained by cutting down the trees with bright green leaves using the Saw tool. Players can identify the Acacia trees by simply opening up the map and hovering over the Acacia tree icon. The icon for the Acacia tree is also a tree with green leaves which is pretty hard to miss and they can be found both in the north and west of the Saint-Anne region.
However, before you set sail to cut down the trees, you need to craft the Saw tool at the Carpenter shop. Fortunately, at the start of the contract, you will get the blueprint for the Saw along with other tools including a Pickaxe and a Sickle. Make your way to the Carpenter and select the ‘Craft New Items’ option to craft the Saw with the required materials and a cost of 20 silver.
After crafting the Saw, go to your ship and set sail to any one of the Acacia Trees locations. Upon reaching the location of Acacia Tree, you will get the prompt for ‘Harvest Acacia’ once you are close enough. Press the F button to start the harvesting process which involves a minigame of cutting the trees.
A pictorial representation of Saw will form among the trees with Yellow and Green Bars. Press the LMB to start the minigame and press the LMB when the circle reaches the yellow or green bar to collect Acacia. If you don’t press the LMB on time and the circle goes ahead of all the yellow and green bars, you don’t harvest any Acacia, and missing the bars three times will end in failure requiring you to restart.
Focus on the circle and try to press the LMB when the circle reaches green as it will grant you the best harvesting results but pressing the LMB on the yellow bar is also fine as it would still give you Acacia. Upon gathering all Acacia, you can return to Saint-Anne to deliver Acacia to complete the contract and earn the reward.
