“I do not make jokes. I make warriors.” Paramount has unveiled the first official trailer for a Knuckles spin-off series from the two Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movies. This series is also a live-action hybrid concept, taking Knuckles (who first showed up in the second movie) and sending him on his own adventure while dealing with downtime between big events. The six-episode “streaming event” will launch starting at the end of April just before the summer movie season. “Only one hero hits this hard.” The new live-action series will follow Knuckles on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade, a deputy sheriff of Green Hills, as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. Takes place between the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (out at the end of 2024). Starring Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, Adam Pally as Wade, Cary Elwes as “Pistol” Pete Whipple, Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, Rory McCann, and Tika Sumpter as Knuckles’ adoptive mother. This kind of does look like an “SNL” sketch turned into a 6-ep. series. Have fun. // Continue Reading ›
