“We can’t sit back and do nothing, we must act!” 🇮🇪 Icon Film UK has released an official trailer for an indie drama titled Baltimore, a thriller based on a true story. This initially premiered at the 2023 Telluride & London Film Festivals last year. It is the latest critically acclaimed film made by Christine Molloy & Joe Lawlor, the directors of Rose Plays Julie, The Future Tense and Helen – and stars Imogen Poots and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. The Irish thriller is based on the life of Rose Dugdale, a former English debutante who rebelled against her wealthy upbringing, becoming a volunteer in the militant Irish republican group, the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) during the Troubles in the 1970s. Her anti-establishment views led her to conduct the biggest art heist in history, stealing 19 old master paintings at gunpoint. Poots plays Rose, with a cast including Lewis Brophy, Jack Meade, Patrick Martins, Dermot Crowley, Andrea Irvine, John Kavanagh. No US release date set yet, but it opens in the UK this March.
