All the characters that you will get to unlock throughout the course of the main campaign can level up to a maximum of Level 100 which will increase their stats to a maximum and give them the privilege to have access to all end-game skills. However, it is impossible to reach the maximum level just by playing the campaign. The maximum level that we reached for our party of characters was Level 47 and that is just by completing the main quests.
The best methods that you can utilize during the main campaign and in the end-game content for leveling are the following.
1. Complete the Main Quests
The first and foremost method to level up your characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink is to focus on the main quests of the campaign. Pursuing each main objective of the game will let you earn a huge chunk of EXP that is crucial for all characters in your party. However, it is best to keep the four characters that you play often as changing the characters can slow the progression for them.
2. Complete the Side Quests
Along with pursuing the main quests, look for any side quests available in the towns and complete them to earn extra EXP along with useful materials. As you complete the first chapter of the story, you will unlock the Quest Counter from which you can undertake various types of quests that will help you earn EXP for your character quickly. However, the best quests like Boss and Survival are unlocked after completing the main campaign so until then, try to do the rest of the activities.
3. Complete the Boss and Survival Quests
Upon completing the main campaign and the final epilogue, you will unlock the Maniac difficulty at the Quest Counter along with Boss and Survival Quests. Boss quest is the best and the fastest method to earn thousands of EXP. Equip the characters in your party that you wish to level up and then take down the boss from the quest to gain EXP. The rest is simple, just rinse and repeat until your characters are maxed out, and then switch the characters in your party to level up the others.
However, if you get bored from defeating the bosses over and over again, the next best method is to switch up to Survival Quest which will require you to stay alive as long as you can while facing waves of enemies. The more waves you survive in each run, the higher EXP you gain.
