The realm of Embervale has been consumed by Shroud and the world is ruined. You have to find your place and follow the path of enduring Flame to reconstruct the world in a better place for which you have to survive using the essential items and resources. One of the essential resources for the early game is Shroud Wood which is needed for crafting several items.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get Shroud Wood in Enshrouded.
How to Get Shroud Wood in Enshrouded
The Shroud Wood is obtained by chopping down the trees within the Shroud. It is almost identical to getting Wood Logs but instead of cutting the trees in the clear area, players will have to cut the trees in the Shroud area. The Shroud area is identified by poisonous fog in which the character can only survive for five minutes maximum. As soon as players enter the fog, an Enshrouded time starts which can be seen on the top center of the screen.
Staying in the fog for over five minutes will result in death so, you will have to be quick about finding the Shroud Trees and cutting them to get the Shroud Wood. Areas with the guaranteed Shroud Trees are the ones within the woods. If there is a Shroud area around a stone settlement, then there might not be any tree inside it that you can cut to get wood.
One of the early areas where players can find tons of Shroud Wood is the forest along the way to Ancient Valley. Reaching the valley is one of the early main quests and if players bring along their Axe through the forest, they will be able to farm a decent amount of Shroud Wood.
Shroud Wood is used to craft various useful items in the game and one of the essential gear items that players can craft early in the game using the Shroud Wood is a Glider. Crafting the Glider will require 8x Shroud Wood meaning players will have to cut down at least 4 Shroud Trees.
