There are various Time Powers in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown that will grant you certain abilities that you can use to traverse through the areas to find the hidden locations. These abilities are also essential during combat, especially the Aerial Dash ability which is granted by finding the Rush of the Simurgh.

How to Get Aerial Dash Ability | Rush of the Simurgh
The Aerial Dash is the first Time Power that players will get to unlock by progressing and completing the main storyline quest, Lost in Mount Qaf. The quest will require players to find Prince Ghassan who has been taken through Simurgh Gate in the Lower City biome. As players progress in the quest line and unlock the Bow and Chakram weapons, they will be able to reach and pass Simurgh Gate.
Upon doing so, they will encounter one of the main bosses in the game, Jahandar. Fight and defeat Jahandar in a two-phased boss fight and continue ahead to find a Feather of the Simurgh. Obtaining the Feather of the Simurgh will unlock the Rush of the Simurgh Time Power which will allow players to dash in the air.
How to Use Rush of the Simurgh Ability in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Using the Rush of the Simurgh ability will require players to press the RT/R2 button while in the air to dash in the directed direction. The ability only triggers in the air and if you press the same button while on the ground, you will only slide in the directed direction.
Many of the platforms in various areas are located at a distance and the only way to reach them is by using the Rush of the Simurgh. If you have marked some of the areas, then feel free to visit them and use the ability to get past them to seek what treasures those areas hold.
