Portal: Revolution – How to Solve Chapter 6 Chamber 6 | The Boring Solution & Fun Solution

Portal: Revolution offers several unique test chambers that can be completed in many different ways. As players begin the climb to the Surface in Chapter 6, they will get to solve chamber 6 which has more than one solution and the Devs have also assigned achievements regarding solving this chamber both in the original/boring way and fun way.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to solve Chapter 6 Chamber 6 both the Boring Way and Fun Way in Portal: Revolution.

How to Solve Chapter 6 Chamber 6 in Portal: Revolution

Test chamber 6 requires players to get to the steel platform above the entrance to get across the exit door. To get to the platform, players will have to utilize all three kinds of gels in the chamber, White, Blue, and Orange. There are two solutions to solving this chamber and each one will give a respective achievement. Both of the solutions are explained below with the achievement that will be offered on solving the chamber.

The Boring Solution

Enter the chamber, shoot the portal on the higher platform with the red button, and open another portal on the white wall in front to reach the red button. Now, open the blue portal beneath the white gel and open the other portal on the tilted wall beneath the steel platform. Stand on the red button to increase the pressure of the gel and let it spread on the wall.

Shoot the orange portal in the middle of the wall with white gel and then open a blue portal beneath the blue gel to spread the blue gel on the middle platform. Now, open the orange portal on the white wall below you and the blue portal beneath the orange gel. Let the gel spread on the floor below and then open the blue portal in the middle of the wall with the white gel.

Go to the start of the orange gel and run towards the orange portal to gain momentum and then go through the portal to bounce on the blue gel to reach the steel platform. It will complete the Chamber 6 and you will earn ‘The Boring Solution’ achievement.

The Fun Solution

To complete chamber 6 with the fun solution, repeat everything until you spread the orange gel on the floor beneath the Red Button platform. Stay on the platform and open the blue portal beneath the blue gel pipe and the orange portal on the tilted wall. Stand on the red button to increase the pressure of the gel and let it spread on the wall.

Once the wall has filled with blue gel, go down and open the blue portal on the white wall. Run from the start of the orange gel to gain momentum and go through the portal to come out of the tilted wall to bounce on the platform in the middle and then from the blue wall and then again from the middle platform to finally reach the steel platform.

Completing the chamber in a fun way unlocks ‘The Fun Solution’ achievement. You can earn both of the achievements in a single playthrough. Once you have completed the chamber with any one of the solutions, drop down from the steel platform to solve it with the other solution.
