Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask DLC – How to Change Ogrepon Form

Ogrepon is the Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask, the first part of the DLC called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Players will get to embark on a journey with a school trip outside of Paldea in the Land of Kitakami which has a mystery for players to unravel.

As players progress through the main storyline, they will get to learn about the story of The Loyal Three and Ogre and later encounter all of them and catch the Ogrepon. Ogrepon is unique to all of the other Pokémon as it can change forms and gain unique abilities.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to change Ogrepon Form in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask.

How to Change Ogrepon Form in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask

Ogrepon can be changed into four different forms using the Ogrepon Masks. The default form of Ogrepon is the Grass form due to the pre-equipped Teal Mask on Ogrepon. To change Ogrepon into other forms, you will have to give it any one of the Masks as a held item. You can follow the following steps to give any Ogrepon Mask as a held item to Ogrepon to change its form.

Press the X button to open the main menu and then select the Bag option.

Use the Directional buttons to go to the Other Items tab and then select any Ogrepon Mask.

Select the ‘Use this item’ option and then select the Ogrepon from the side to give it as a held item.

Giving an Ogrepon Mask to Ogrepon will grant it a corresponding unique ability of the form along with a special hidden ability called Embody Aspect that enhances Ogrepon’s stats based on the changed form.

Ogrepon All Form Abilities

All four forms of Ogrepon have a unique ability along with the Embody Aspect increasing a certain stat.

Teal Mask Ogerpon (Grass): Gains Defiant ability and Embody Aspect enhances Speed stat.

Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon (Grass/Fire): Gains Mold Breaker ability and Embody Aspect enhances Attack stat.

Wellspring Mask Ogerpon (Grass/Water): Gains Water Absorb ability and Embody Aspect enhances Special Defense stat.

Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon (Grass/Rock): Gains Sturdy ability and Embody Aspect enhances Defense stat.
