An Ancient Cooker is an advanced cooking station introduced with the A Rift in Time expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley which can automatically cook a recipe several times without requiring any assistance from the players. It helps greatly with the cooking activity especially if you are looking forward to cooking a recipe more than once.

In this guide, we’ll go over how to craft and use the Ancient Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Unlock and Craft the Ancient Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Ancient Cooker is one of the Ancient Machines exclusive to the expansion meaning players will have to get the A Rift in Time DLC to unlock and craft it. There are three different Levels of the Ancient Cooker and each one of them unlocks by upgrading the Level of the Hourglass Tool. The Hourglass Tool also has 3 Levels and each level will cost Mist, an exclusive currency in the expansion.

Upgrading the Hourglass Levels will unlock the following levels of the Ancient Cooker’s crafting recipe.

Hourglass Level 1 (5,000 Mist) – Unlocks recipe for Basic Ancient Cooker (Level 1)

Hourglass Level 2 (10,000 Mist) – Unlocks recipe for Regular Ancient Cooker (Level 2)

Hourglass Level 3 (15,000 Mist) – Unlocks recipe for Advanced Ancient Cooker (Level 3)

The recipes for the Ancient Cooker are found under the Ancient Machines section of the Timebending Table. It is the same table that you use for upgradation of the Hourglass so navigate to the ‘Ancient Machines’ to find the recipes.

Each recipe will cost a certain amount of Mist along with the Ancient Crafting Materials that can only be found using the Hourglass and the previous level of Ancient Cooker while crafting a higher-level Ancient Cooker. The main crafting materials required for each Ancient Cooker are the following.

Mist

Ancient Core (Level 1, 2, and 3)

Ancient Radiator

Ancient Plate

Upon having all the required materials, go to the Timebending Table and select the recipe from the Ancient Machines section to craft it.

How to Use the Ancient Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley

After crafting the Ancient Cooker, you will be able to find it in the Utilities category of the Furniture tab. Place down the Ancient Cooker and interact with it to open the Auto-Cooker menu. To start cooking the recipes, select the ‘Select Ingredients’ option and it will allow you to select the ingredients manually or open up the recipes to select a specific recipe’s ingredients.

Once you have selected the ingredients, move to the ‘Cook’ option which will allow you to set the number of times you want to cook the recipes, each one costing 25 Mist. You can set the number up to your requirement or the maximum depending on which Level of Ancient Cooker you are using.

Basic Ancient Cooker – Can cook up to a maximum of 10 times.

Regular Ancient Cooker – Can cook up to a maximum of 20 times.

Advanced Ancient Cooker – Can cook up to a maximum of 30 times.

Despite the Level of Ancient Cooker, each one will cost 25 Mist per time the recipe is cooked but the total time for cooking all the recipes will be less on the higher-level Ancient Cooker. You just have to wait for the Ancient Cooker to prepare the recipes and you can claim the recipes one by one or all at once with the ‘Claim’ option on the bottom right of the Auto-Cooker menu.

There isn’t much difference among the Levels of the Ancient Cookers as each one costs the same amount of Mist and the only difference is quantity and time. If you have patience then using the Basic Ancient Cooker would be enough for you.
