The Pumpkin King Returns is the first Friendship Quest for Jack Skellington that players will get to complete after unlocking Jack Skellington in Dreamlight Valley. It is one of the latest questlines for all of the players as it isn’t exclusive to A Rift in Time expansion.

The Pumpkin King Returns Quest Walkthrough
Talk to Jack Skellington after placing his house down in the valley and reaching Friendship Level 2 with him to start the Pumpkin King Returns quest. As you accept the quest, he will tell you to talk to Olaf. Open the map to locate Olaf and make your way to Olaf to talk to him. Olaf will ask you to make him a specific food item from which he will give you the recipe.
Cook Chocolate Ice Cream
After talking to Olaf, open the inventory to investigate the recipe that he gave you to learn the ingredients for Chocolate Ice Cream. The required ingredients to make the Chocolate Ice Cream are the following.
1x Cocoa Bean
1x Sugarcane
1x Milk
1x Slush Ice
Upon gathering the ingredients, make your way to any cooking station and interact with it. Select the quests tab to find the recipe for Chocolate Ice Cream and autofill the ingredients to prepare the recipe.
Once you have prepared the Chocolate Ice Cream, go and find Olaf to give him the recipe he asked for.
Introduce Jack Skellington to Ursula
Now, talk to Jack Skellington and bring him to Ursula to introduce him to her. Listen to the conversation between them and then Ursula will ask you to gather some resources for her.
Gather the Resources for Ursula
Gather the following resources from the mentioned biomes below.
12x Gooseberry – Found by foraging in Frosted Heights and Forgotten Lands.
3x Red Nasturtium – Found foraging in Forgotten Lands.
3x White Passion Lily – Found foraging in Frosted Heights.
2x Amethyst – Found mining in Frosted Heights and Forgotten Lands.
After gathering all the resources, bring them to Ursula.
Talk to Jack and Gather Materials for him
Now, talk to Jack and follow him to what he has to say. He will ask you to gather the following resources for the crafting of a throne.
31x Pumpkin – Bought from Goofy’s Stall in Forgotten Lands.
10 Dark Wood – Found by foraging in Forgotten Lands.
Craft and Place the Pumpkin King’s Throne
Once you have gathered the resources, go to the crafting station and interact with it. Navigate to the Furniture tab and craft the Pumpkin King’s Throne. After that, open the build mode and place the throne anywhere in the valley.
Lastly, you need to take a picture with Jack Skellington and the throne in one frame. After that, talk to him to conclude the quest rewarding you with 880 Friendship Points with Jack Skellington.
