Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time Expansion invites players to a brand-new world beside Dreamlight Valley named Eternity Isle which has three different biomes and four different characters that players will discover and meet. However, there is mysterious flying sand debris scattered around Eternity Isle blocking off the path for the players to further explore the areas.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to remove the Swirling Sands in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Remove Swirling Sands in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Swirling Sands are found in the Eternity Isles and the biomes within this world. As players reach Eternity Isle, they will find various sizes of Swirling Sands scattered around The Docks area preventing players from exploring the area to the full extent. For players to remove the Swirling Sands, they need to get the Royal Hourglass, a new tool that can reverse time and create rifts to pull out items from the past.

The Royal Hourglass is unlocked by completing the ‘The Flying Metal Nuisance’ quest for Jafar. During the quest, you will have to prepare the Best Fish Forever recipe for EVE which will allow her to give you access to the Royal Hourglass that she is guarding. Once you have the Royal Hourglass unlocked you will be able to remove the Swirling Sands. To remove the swirling sands, you need to go close to one of the Swirling Sands and interact with it to remove it while equipping the Hourglass tool. Removing the Swirling Sands will drop a certain amount of Mist which is needed for unlocking new biomes in Eternity Isle and areas within them.

However, the initial state of the Hourglass tool can only be used to remove the small size of swirling sands around the area and if you want to remove the medium and large size of swirling sands, you will have to upgrade the Hourglass. The Hourglass can be upgraded using the Timebending Table, a new workstation. You will have to gather the required materials required for the upgrades to make the Hourglass stronger to remove the large Swirling Sands to get an even higher amount of Mist from removing them.
