Roots of Pacha offers various resources that will help you craft useful items, build structures, and upgrade tools, which all lead to the progression of the town as well as the game. One of the early-mid game resources is Hardwood which has multiple uses.
In this guide, we’ll go over how to get Hardwood in Roots of Pacha.
How to Get Hardwood in Roots of Pacha
Hardwood is one of the basic resources in Roots of Pacha that is used in various crafting recipes along with upgrading the tools. Players can get the Hardwood by cutting the Sturdy Trees in the Land region, Tall Trees in the Savannah region, and tree roots in the rooms of caves. There are a few Sturdy trees near the starting house of the game but to cut the sturdy trees, players will first have to get the Flint Axe. The trees in the Savannah region will require you to upgrade to Obsidian Axe to cut them down.
Once players have upgraded to at least Flint Axe from the Handaxe, they will be able to cut down the trees and roots in the caves to gather the Hardwood. Equip the Flint Axe by pressing the Q/E button. After equipping the Flint Axe, press the LMB on the trees to chop them down to get the Hardwood.
The main usage for Hardwood is to complete the Ideas of the clan members to progress in the game which will help you unlock new recipes and even unlock new tools. Additionally, you can use the Hardwood to upgrade the following tools.
Water Bucket
Obsidian Axe
Copper Sickle
Bronze Axe
Bronze Hammer
Bronze Hoe
Bronze Sickle
Hardwood has a value of 5 Contributions that you can earn by donating it in the Contribution Bin located north of the Bonfire. It is recommended to gather the Hardwood in large quantities and store them in the storage chests to use them upon need.
