Ubisoft‘s Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland has been rated by the Taiwanese rating board, suggesting that release date news could be imminent. The free-to-play survival action shooter was announced at Ubisoft Forward in September 2022, but we haven’t heard much about it since.
Could The Division: Heartland release date be announced at The Game Awards 2023?
Fans have noted that Taiwan’s rating board has somewhat of a track record for publishing ratings 2-3 months before a game is launched. Considering this, we expect a release date as soon as The Game Awards 2023 — the last and arguably the biggest gaming event of the year. And if speculations are anything to go by, Ubisoft will launch The Division: Heartland sometime in early 2024.
“The Division Heartland is a free-to-play, PvEvP focused, survival-action shooter set in the mysterious rural town of Silver Creek,” reads an official description. “Explore and complete missions by day. Take on the dynamically moving contamination, enemy factions, and player squads by night.” The game can support a maximum of 45 players.
The Division: Heartland is in development for the PS4 and PS5, among other platforms. Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment is behind the game, which is being built on the Snowdrop engine.
