Silent Hill 2 Remake developer Bloober Team took to Twitter over the weekend to provide yet another update on the game’s development status. Last week, fans expressed concerns about the game due to a lack of communication, which Bloober Team said was publisher Konami‘s responsibility. However, this led to even more speculations of development troubles.
Silent Hill 2 remake development is progressing “smoothly,” Bloober Team says in new update
To assuage concerns, Bloober Team said in a statement that it’s working “diligently” to ensure that Silent Hill 2 “attains the highest quality.” The studio is also keen to clarify that all is well on the production front, and things are on schedule.
“We understand that many players around the world are eagerly anticipating news about the game, and we appreciate your dedication,” Bloober Team continued. “However, we kindly ask for a bit more patience.” The studio reiterated yet again that communication regarding Silent Hill 2 is Konami’s domain as the publisher but added that it’s “confident that the wait will be worthwhile.”
It’s unclear why pre-orders for the game went live on a number of websites without any news from Konami. The publisher did, however, have one of the listings pulled for erroneous information.
