Noctuary is almost here! Despite being a casual indie RPG, which isn’t exactly a new category list, Noctuary invites you to play as two interchangeable protagonists. The visual novel puts you in the shoes of partners Alina Nightsong and Fancia Dream, who share a common dream to become elite Arborangers.
Noctuary
The story begins with Alina and Fancia, who witness a mysterious girl plummet from the sky. As you traverse the lore-rich tale, you will uncover secrets about the girl and where she came from. Enriched with a charming style and complete OST, Noctuary fully immerses you in the tale of Arborangers. These warriors of Inlixaland strive to serve and protect everyone. In the shoes of both protags, you’ll be able to learn what it takes to become a fleshed Arboranger and experience their whimsical day-to-day life.
Now there isn’t much point to an Arboranger without a threat right? In Noctuary monsters plague like blight across the magical lands and it’s your job to dispel them. The battle mechanics of the game are both charming and add a sense of thrill with the stacked combo feature. Being able to play as two main characters also adds to the fantasy. You must summon and utilize their unique skills separately, as well as strategize on who can carry out certain missions with better efficiency.
I’m Blessed You Read This Far!
If you’re the type of gamer who gets distracted too you can always take a break from the plot. Dive into the side quests requested by NPCs that are complete with bite-sized stories. You can build relationships with the NPCs and learn random trivia about their lives, providing a welcoming break when the heat of battle being an Arboranger is too much. The relationships you blossom will in turn aid your future battles too with a sophisticated “Blessings” system. You can combine your Blessings into stunning petals, each built with unique battle buffs.
Noctuary is set to launch on November 28th. Don’t forget to check it out and wishlist it now over on Steam! Whilst we wait for this alluring adventure to release, why not read some of our other news? HoloParade is the Latest HoloCure Contender for Hololive Fans.
