Love Coffee Talk? Love Dungeons And Dragons? Ever longed for the life of a Skyrim tavern keeper but without some menace dropping a bucket on your head and emptying your wine cellar? If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the above questions, then you may love Tavern Talk, an upcoming game for PC.

In Tavern Talk, you take on the role of front of house in a fantasy tavern.

Bewitched Beverages

You’re there to serve the drinks, and there is a wide variety of heroic drink recipes to discover. Some are icy, some are topped with skulls, and some are all the colors of the rainbow.

These drinks are more than just pretty and tasty though. They can give the drinker a bit of help, and make them better at some skill they’re lacking in.

Your role isn’t limited to just pouring out slightly supernatural cocktails though. You will also need to socialize with the patrons. Given this tavern is a bit like the one you’d walk into in a tabletop RPG session, you’re soon going to run into some very colorful individuals.

There’s a giant wolf lady, a slightly awkward elf, and essential for any TTRPG campaign, a brooding hooded figure who lurks in the tavern and makes grim remarks. Where would we be without him?

You speak to the visiting adventurers about their day, and they enlighten you on different rumors around the area. With these rumors, you can piece them together to create new quests for your adventurer buddies. What self-respecting adventurer doesn’t want a quest from an innkeeper?

Serve Drinks. Save Everyone?

While your job might sound trivial at first glance, your patrons rely on you more than they realize. Soon, they might need your help to save the world.

Something dark is coming, something that threatens everything, and it might just tie into a ghost from your own past.

Already eager? You can try out a demo for the game now via the official itch.io page. You can follow developer Gentle Troll there too for updates on the development.
