For the King II allows players to control 4 different characters (classes) in each playthrough in the world of Fahrul. Players will start with 5 starter classes from which they will be able to select any 4 for the initial campaign, The Resistance. However, as players progress further into the main story, they will get to unlock more of the classes that can be used in the next playthrough. One of the earliest classes that players will get to unlock is the Alchemist.

How to Unlock Alchemist Class in For the King II
The Alchemist Class can be unlocked during Chapter One of the Resistance playthrough. Progress through the initial main quests of the story to reach an area named Grasslands on the overworld. Once there, you will currently have the quest for rescuing an NPC from the Prison Cart. However, if you look around the same area on the hex tiles, there should be another prison cart. If you hover over the prison cart, you will hear a cry for help.
Use the movement turns to move one of your characters close to the Prison Cart and select the ‘free’ option to do a roll check. After the successful roll check, the Prison Cart will open and you will free the Alchemist class which will unlock in the Lore Store.
To unlock the Alchemist Class and make it eligible to equip for your playthrough, go to the Lore Store from the main menu of the game and select the characters tab. The characters tab will now have the Alchemist class available and it will cost 16 Lore Books to unlock. It is best to equip the Alchemist class with one of your support classes as it can be of great help with its unique abilities alongside the Herbalist class.
