Animal Arena is the hectic 2D pixel battle rumble launching to mobile on November 9th. This wacky Smash Bros like game puts you and your friends into all sorts of carnage, as you fight for platform dominance and steal the crown! Whilst simple in style and gameplay, Animal Arena promises a zoo load of fun for you and your competitors, plus, you can’t beat the retro funky tunes.
Bark Bark Brawl!
Considering the simple controls of tap to jump and double-tap to turn, this game very quickly turns into mayhem. Featuring 16 different maps with unique gimmicks to keep things interesting, you and your friends can collide, slam and steal from one another upon these lively platforms. Snatch powerups and avoid hazards for as long as possible, all whilst vibing to the groovy Bomberman style music. Can you keep a hold of the crown until the timer runs out?
Animal Arena gives you two game modes to shake your paws at, Timed, which crowns the winner based on the most points. Or Lives, which is the last animal standing. You can enjoy these bizarre battles in split 2 vs. 2 battles, or every animal for themself, 1 vs. 3. Once you’re done squishing the competition, you can cash in your hard earnt points for all new animals to play as. I personally love the Capybara just because they’re big water hamster-dogs, and they’re neat. But, with over 100 unique critters to collect, there is no shortage of specie slamming fun!
Meow Meow Mayhem!
Adventure Islands brings this game as a sequel to Poor Bunny, which players liked, but had their concerns about. Feedback so far on Animal Arena versus its predecessor tend to praise the controls improvement, which ultimately is the difference between a win and lose. Poor Bunny was a similar game to Animal Arena, except didn’t offer the multiplayer battle. The leading problem of this game was the control movement being finnicky, though luckily the team heard these concerns and came back stronger!
You can check out the calamity that is Animal Arena on either the Play Store or iOS. Plus, whilst you wait for this game to launch, why not check out some of our other news? Dark Souls Meets Hollow Knight in Obsidian Legion.
