“I love people so much that it… it’s hard for me to be alone.” Netflix has revealed the main official trailer for Bradley Cooper’s latest film Maestro, starring Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan. This premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival and it also played at NYFF and London this fall. Maestro is a “towering love story” chronicling the lifelong relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, Maestro at its core is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love. Co-written by, produced by, directed by, and starring Cooper, this movie is very much a love letter to the beloved American conductor, composer, pianist, music educator, and humanitarian. Cooper & Mulligan star with Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, Sarah Silverman, Josh Hamilton, Scott Ellis, Gideon Glick, Sam Nivola, Alexa Swinton, and Miriam Shor. This is a ravishing trailer, capturing the grandiosity of his genius as a composer / conductor, and sharing some of the best moments from the film (my full review). Even if the film isn’t one of my favorites of the year, we can all appreciate how exciting this trailer is. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›
